Daily Devotion: Sorrows

A sad truth is that most christians go to church heavily burdened. Instead of thanking God first, they murmur towards God. In our church, many members go to service full of problems. They seldom give encouragements because all they think of and share are their struggles.

Daily Devotion: How Devil Works

The devil don’t intend to mingle with us or make friends. What he wanted is to destroy our life, our relationships, our businesses, our jobs; everything that is in our life. The devils plans are very opposite to God’s plan.

Daily Devotion: Compassion

“Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.”
Romans 12:15 (NASB)

Sympathizing is not only applicable on good times. Reality is that people need  our attention and time once they are struggling.

I was greatly disappointed when I heard some christians say that they get tired talking to people about problems. They say that instead of being happy and blooming all day, heavy burdens fill their hearts whenever they hear problematic stories.

You’ve probably been into problematic circumstances that instead of trusting God, you ask for your friends advice. This kind of situation is quite normal but is not pleasing to God.

Thoughts About: What Can A Mere Man Do?

When you are in a struggling situation, to whom do you ask for help? This morning, as soon as I wake up, I felt  joy, peace and happiness in my heart. I am not really sure why so I take hold of the thought that it is the fruit of the Spirit according to the book of Galatians. Everything seems to be ok since I started the day praying and praising God.

For some reason, my mood changed this afternoon. I am not really sure why but what I know is that in an instant, I felt sad and depressed.

Thoughts About: Serve God Wholeheartedly

It is a trend nowadays that most christians support a church ministry. Even the youth gave their special time to help minister to unbelievers thus sharing the Word of God.

Talking about the Kings of Israel written in the book of Kings and Chronicles, there are so many who walked wickedly and a few who followed the ways of the Lord. Sad to say that on those few kings who followed God, some of them did not walk wholeheartedly with God. Unfortunately, there are some which the bible specifically emphasizes like “Amaziah King of Judah”. In 2 Chronicles 25:2, the bible says that “he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord but not wholeheartedly. On the first few verses of chapter 25, Amaziah followed God but in the end he turned away from God. Verse 27 says that “From the time that Amaziah turned away from following the Lord, the people conspired against him in Jerusalem and he fled to Lachish, but they sent men after him to Lachish and killed him there.
